Scenic Tool’s new construction facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina, needed floor coatings for its manufacturing area, lab, and entry. We installed a different finish in each space while preparing the concrete with shot blasting to create a suitable surface for the coating systems.

Manufacturing Area

In the manufacturing area, we shot blasted the concrete, applied an epoxy moisture primer, installed a 100% solids epoxy body coat, and finished the floor with a chemical resistant topcoat. The system was selected for the demands of an active manufacturing environment.

Lab Flooring

The lab received the same surface preparation and epoxy coating process, with a decorative flake broadcast added to the body coat. A chemical resistant topcoat completed the floor, giving the lab a distinct finish suited to its use.

Metallic Epoxy Entry

The entry received a metallic marbled epoxy floor finished with a clear, UV resistant urethane topcoat. This created a distinctive entrance that complements the industrial flooring installed throughout the facility.
